Ages 0-2 with Caregiver

Wee Chat is a course for parents and caregivers to discover the wonders of infant and toddler communication development. Caregivers will learn how speech and language typically develop from birth through 2 years of age and what strategies can support and engage your baby’s communication development. Babies and toddlers ages newborn – 2 years will engage in songs, stories, and play during our time together and developmental information and strategies will be provided for the caregivers.

Topics Covered: Receptive Language; Expressive Language; Speech Sound Development; Sign Language; Engaging with Books; Bilingualism

Your Instructor

Jennifer Oshen is a speech-language pathologist experienced in early intervention, elementary and middle school settings, with a particular interest in culturally and linguistically diverse populations. In her practice, she is oriented to the strengths and interests of her students. When collaborating with families, she builds upon what parents are already doing to support their child’s development and incorporates enriching strategies that fit into their daily routines. She is the parent of three bilingual children.

The Creative Living Room

The Creative Living Room is a nonprofit community arts education organization that inspires creative curiosity in kids and families. Founded in 2008 by four enterprising women in the arts, TCLR has become a space to try on something new. Our themed classes, camps and parties combine artistic and creative mediums.
