¡Viajemos! is an immersive journey into the Spanish-speaking world that combines an organic approach to Spanish language learning with engaging activities that foster cultural appreciation. Among other activities, students will prepare Puerto Rican Tres Leches Limber (a frozen nut-free treat); craft Latin American Bingo cards to use in a game of Lotería; go on a Búsqueda de Tesoros (Spanish Scavenger Hunt focusing on fall-related vocabulary); and design their own maracas to shake as they dance and learn the chorus of El Latido de Mi Corazón from Disney’s Coco.
The class, which begins just ahead of Hispanic Heritage Month, will also celebrate the cultures and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the U.S. and highlight local heritage and immigrant communities.
Our After-School program is listed from 4-5:30pm, allowing all students to arrive on foot, by bus or drop off to make it in advance of instruction time between 4:30-5:30pm. Drop off students may arrive anytime after 4pm.
