This class weaves together restorative poses, somatic movement, acupressure, self-massage, and qigong to enhance a release of tension deeply held in the body, reduce stress, and encourage a smooth flow of life giving force energy, or Qi (pronounced "Chee"). Jane Barry DePaul

Jane Barry DePaul, E-RYT, YACEP, started taking yoga classes to deal with the anxiety and stress of a job layoff and dealing with aging parents. That layoff had a silver lining because it gave her time to go to yoga school and she has been teaching since 2013 at local studios and Penn State Brandywine's wellness classes! While she was originally attracted to the increased muscle tone and flexibility of her body, it was the sense of peace and calm that kept her coming back to her mat. Jane enjoys teaching students at all levels, especially those who think they cannot yoga. Her supportive cues, use of props and mindful breathing help students build a practice to face life's challenges with a stronger body, calmer mind and renewed spirit.
